Iris Kauffman – Brand Developer / Graphic designer / connector

BUILDING UNIQUE BRANDS IS WHAT I LOVE!

As strategic designer and art director, I help national and international companies and organizations that are in transition. Together with a great team of high-end independent professionals, I develop complete brands with the main focus on sustainable brands. I can make your story visual by designing your logo and corporate identity. Just tell me your story and together we will make a journey to transform that into a brand.

Wonder Woman of the Week: Life’s Mission

Tammy: What were you put on this Earth to do? In other words, what’s your life’s purpose?

Iris: My mission is to bring more harmony and beauty into the world with communication and art, inspire people to invent and discover new sustainable ideas and serve companies that are specialised in sustainability or who are in transition to becoming more sustainable.

After a break from working at big agencies, I started travelling and ended up living in the Thai jungle for 6 years being a buffalo farmer and running an NGO in sustainable agriculture. By doing this I discovered my other talents but this experience also opened my eyes to how we can live in harmony with mother nature.

So I also want to inspire everyone in living with way less. We don’t need so much stuff. If you’re connected with many like-minded people, your community will give you the human values that make you feel rich.

Tammy: What role does your work play in your life? How does it embody your values?

Iris: My work is my life. Every day I get up happy that I can do the things I love. It’s not always easy, but I feel blessed that I made it possible to live like this. Design is my passion and I can do this for hours. Connecting people with art is my second passion.

This year, I will organize several little art/dinner events to spread beauty & harmony. In this way, I can tell more about the power of art and create a great community of people who connect with each other and expand their businesses or dreams.

Wonder Woman of the Week: Words of Encouragement

Tammy: What message would you like to give to other women?

Iris: You are perfect as you are! Never doubt yourself by looking at others. You are your unique you with your unique skills and talents. Believe in your super powers and those powers will lift you up to new levels and adventures.

Tammy: Tell us about your relationship with clothing? What do you think about the act of get dressed? What role does clothing serve for you? Does it hold a certain meaning or significance?

Iris: Fashion was and is always very important to me. I love to work with stylists for photoshoots. It’s that extra touch that makes a person more confident in being in front of the camera but also in life. I also love the new developments in upcycled fashion. I actually never buy new clothes. Everything is secondhand and upcycled. My wardrobe is a mix of glittery, roaring twenties performance clothes, some design uniforms when I go to meetings, and some casual clothes for walking in the park. I love big long skirts combined with shirts and army boots. But I also love walking in high heels combined with suits. This combination gives me a feminine touch with some male power. I always love to combine this. Yin Yang.

Influence Of Clothing

Tammy: How has your relationship with clothing changed throughout your career?

Iris: It became a little bit more sophisticated with more color. I still wear lots of black clothes but it’s shifting more to colored clothes lately.

Tammy: Describe an outfit of yours that makes you feel like Wonder Woman when you wear it.

Iris: I have a beautiful seventies outfit. It’s a jumpsuit in several colors and every time I wear it it’s a hit. I feel like Farrah Fawcett from Charlie’s Angels. Sexy but strong!

Tammy: Is there any other information you want to share with the readers (or just me)?

Iris: I just wanted to say that dreams can come true. Make goals, focus on them, don’t make them too big and just do it. Stay loyal to your passions/roots and it will turn out well. Your heart is your compass. Sometimes you fail but that’s important too. If everything would be perfect, life would be boring. You just have to do it and the magic will appear

My dream last year was to connect people through art and performances and to create sustainable communities all over the world. This year my partner and I will build a temple at the Boom festival in Portugal where we will perform and connect people in a special way.

Boom festival is one of the biggest transformational art festivals in the world and they build a worldwide community of like-minded people who wants to make the world greener and more sustainable.
